IVF Spain in the Master’ Degree in Human Fertility of the UA

From now on, physicians, biologists and biotechnologists would be able to complete their training at the high-tech facilities of the international clinic


Master UAIVF Spain, by means of the Human Fertility Chair, takes part in the training of the Master’s degree in Human Fertility scheduled for the beginning of the 2016-2017 course at the University of Alicante.

The aim of this course, which is organised by the Department of Biotechnology of the University of Alicante in cooperation with the Human Reproduction.

Unit of the Hospital Universitario y Politécnico La Fe in Valencia, is to trainprofessionals in Reproductive Biology. The students are able to complete the practical part of the course in the premises of the clinic. Therefore, they will be in touch with medical staff, biologists, patients and the rest of IVF Spain team.

A key element for prospective students is the high-tech laboratory of IVF Spain. It is an environment in which you can see advanced techniques aimed to increase pregnancy rates such as the EEVA test, which is used to determine embryo’s viability in a non-invasive way, through images and a mathematical algorithm, and to classify them according to their level of implantation: high, medium or low. The current pregnancy success rate is between 54%-80%, depending on the treatment.

As an added value, students will have access to genetic tests aimed to conceive healthy babys, such as the Recombine test, able to determine 180 genetic diseases, Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGD) or Preimplantational Genetic Screening (PGS), a variant of the PGD which helps to detect any chromosomal alterations that might cause non-pregnancy or repeated miscarriages.

The Master’s degree in Human Fertility, which will begin the 17th October and end the 20th September 2017, is aimed at graduates in Biotechnology, Medicine, Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Pharmacy, Veterinary Science, Odontology, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Nutrition and Dietetics, Podiatry, Optics and Optometry and other related sciences.
